DAY 01 : ARRIVE DELHIMeeting

DAY 02 : DELHI - SAMODEToday morning we leave after breakfast for Samode . Upon arrival
checkin at Samode Palace. Samode Palace is one of India's most charming and
romantic hotels. If offers a quiet, elegant and luxurious atmosphere. The Palace
has been meticulously restored offering a retreat into an aesthetically
beautifully environment where visitors can enjoy India's natural beauty and rich
history.
Samode palace was transformed into one the country's premium palace
hotels in 1987, and is a perfect example of Rajput-Moghul architecture. The
Palace is built on a small hillock and planned in a progression of countryards
of increasing height. Nestles among the 'Aravali ranges' -(a very old formation
of banded gneiss dating back to some 3 thousand million years). The Samode
Palace comes into view like a mirage rising above cobbled streets and stone
houses of the village of samode.
Samode according to the Rajputana Gazetteer
of 1879 was a large and flourishing town. The Zamidars (landlords) of Samode the
principal thakurs of the state of Amber were the Nathawat clan from Chomu, a
branch of the house of Amber, tracing their relation to the Jaipur Maharaja the
fabled Prithviraj Singhji the 17th Prince of the house of Kacchwaha
Rajputs.

SAMODE - JAIPURToday
morning we start our journey for Jaipur, popularly known as the Pink City, was
built in 1727 AD by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. Designed in accordance with
Shilp Shastra - an ancient Hindu treatise on architecture - Jaipur follows a
grid system. On our way we visit the Amber Fort in the Aravali Hills, which is a
super example of Rajput (Medieval Hindu) style architecture. A slow elephant
ride takes us to the top of the Fort, which houses several graceful
buildings.
The day is spent at the Fort painting.

DAY 06 : JAIPURMorning we take the tour of
City Palace and Observatory. The City Palace in the heart of the old city is a
blend of Rajasthan and Mughal architecture. The Palace of winds - a five storied
structure of pink sandstone has semi-octagonal and delicately honeycombed
windows overlooking the main street of the old city. It was originally built to
enable the ladies of the royal household to watch everyday life.

day is spent painting.

DAY 07 : JAIPUR - BUNDIMorning we start our drive to Bundi. Bundi is a dream remembered -
named after Bunda , a Meena Chieftan. It is Rajput town so ancient that one gets
the feeling of having stumbled upon a page of history. Bundi town nestles in a
narrow valley , enclosed by huge walls and fortified by four gateways. In the
centre of the township lies a lake.
The places of interest are Chattar Mahal
or Palace of Towers , Eighty four pillored cenotaph and the Palace and Naval
Sagar. Bundi is also famous for its superbly executed paintings and murals. All
the places around Bundi are an ideal place for paintings.

DAY 08 : Day is spent painting in and around

NOWDAY 10 :
BUNDI - RANTHAMBOREToday
morning we drive to Ranthambore, nearly a thousand - year - old fortress.
Countless battles have raged around these walls. The Great Mughal emperor Akbar
laid siege here and built Lake Palace, summer gardens, temples, mosques, tombs
and hunting towers, all overrun now by grass and shrubs. Today leopards and
tigers prowl the ruins.
Afternoon is spent painting around the
Sanctuary.

DAY 11 :
RANTHAMBORERanthambore is one of the few preserves where the Camera - shy tigers
may be seen in day light. You'll take thrilling jeep rides in the morning and
evening in search of wildlife. You sometimes chance upon these fleet - footed
and silent creatures, the embodiment of grace. In the afternoon, explore the
lakes on your own and visit the imposing Ranthambore.
Ranthambore covers an
area about 400 square kms and has beautiful scenery. Ranthambore National Park
is very special and unison area where a natural present meets an historical
past. This park has upto 27 tigers and has a considerable population of
birds.
DAY 12 : RANTHAMBORE - AGRAToday
morning we start our journey for Agra the city of Taj Mahal. Upon arrival check
into the Hotel.

NOWDAY 13 : AGRA
- BHARATPUR
- FATEHPUR SIKRI - AGRAToday we go for a day excursion and
visit to Bharatpur for a tour of the world famous bird sanctuary here. The
reserve bosts of river 300 species of resident and migratory birds. From here we
drive to the ancient city of Fatehpur Sikri ( ghost capital) for a tour of the
magnificent and world heritage buildings still in a state of perfect
preservation. We continue our journey for Agra.

DAY 14 : AGRAAgra was the capital of India
under the Moghuls in the 16th and 17th centuries. This morning we see the
exquisite tomb of the emperor Jehangir's chief minister and father-in - law,
often called the 'BABY TAJ' because its design foreshadows the Taj Mahal,. Then
we tour Agra's Red Fort, built over three generations by the moghul emperors.
Following an afternoon free, we go at sunset to see the Taj Mahal, the mausoleum
built by a sorrowing Shah Jehan in memory of his young wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The
Building's stupendous scale, flawless symmetry, translucent white marble and
shimmering reflection in the water channel are truly breathtaking.
Leave Agra
in the afternoon for Delhi. Before checkinto your Hotel we go for a farewell
dinner.

DAY 15 : LEAVE
DELHIAfter what will have been a majestic way to see and experience
royal India, we bid farewell as we are transferred to the airport for our flight
back home.
