In this tour we
not only enjoy our vacations in India but also visit the Himalayan Kingdom -
Nepal.The tour is an extended tour of the Golden Triangle.After visiting Agra,
we take a train journey to Jhansi from where go the Orchha - a place that makes
one feel the pulse of warm soul of India with temples, palaces and
cenotaphs.Onward we go to Khajuraho to visit the 9th - 13th century temples
exquisitely carved with graceful statues and friexe Gods and Goddesses.A short
flight to the holy and oldest city of Benaras (Varanasi) - highlight the sunrise
boat ride on the holy river ganges and visit to Sarnath.From here we fly to
Kathmandu - Nepal visiting Patan, Pashupatinath, Badgaon and to view the sunrise
on the Himalayas we visit Nagarkot.
DAY 01 : ARRIVE DELHIUpon
arrival at Indra Gandhi International Airport Terminal 2 you are met and
transferred to your prebooked Hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel you are received
with a traditional welcome of TIKKA and ARTI. Rest of the day is relaxing and
for free activities.

DAY 02 :
DELHIThis morning we visit Old Delhi, built in the 17th century by Shah
Jehan the Magnificent ( who also built the Taj Mahal). First we will be visiting
the famous Jama Masjid mosque with its 9,000 sq. ft. courtyard, three domes and
two minarets, and then proceed to the massive complex known as the Red
Fort.
Afternoon we'll visit Lakshmi Narayan Temple, a Spectacular structure
that's just 60 years old , and then proceed via India Gate and the Governmental
building to Qutub Minar, the 240 foot tower built in 1190 to commemorate the
arrival of Islam in India, the Bahai Temple with its nine pools on an elevated
platform, and the Crafts Museum, which replicates and Indian street with over 50
artists and craftspeople at work.

DAY 03 : DELHI - SAMODEToday
morning we leave after breakfast for Samode . Upon arrival checkin at Samode
Palace. Samode Palace is one of India's most charming and romantic hotels. If
offers a quiet, elegant and luxurious atmosphere. The Palace has been
meticulously restored offering a retreat into an aesthetically beautifully
environment where visitors can enjoy India's natural beauty and rich
history.
Samode Palace was transformed into one the country's premium palace
hotels in 1987, and is a perfect example of Rajput-Moghul architecture. The
Palace is built on a small hillock and planned in a progression of countryards
of increasing height. Nestles among the 'Aravali ranges' -(a very old formation
of banded gneiss dating back to some 3 thousand million years). The Samode
Palace comes into view like a mirage rising above cobbled streets and stone
houses of the village of samode.
Samode according to the
Rajputana Gazetteer of 1879 was a large and flourishing town. The Zamidars
(landlords) of Samode the principal thakurs of the state of Amber were the
Nathawat clan from Chomu, a branch of the house of Amber, tracing their relation
to the Jaipur Maharaja the fabled Prithviraj Singhji the 17th Prince of the
house of Kacchwaha Rajputs.

NOWDAY 04 :
SAMODE - JAIPURAfter
breakfast we leave for Jaipur popularly known as the Pink City, was built in
1727 AD by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. Designed in accordance with Shilp
Shastra - an ancient Hindu treatise on architecture - Jaipur follows a grid
system. Upon arrival check in your pre booked Hotel.
Afternoon - tour of City
Palace and Observatory. The City Palace in the heart of the old city is a blend
of Rajasthan and Mughal architecture. The Palace of winds - a five storied
structure of pink sandstone has semi-octgonal and delicately honeycombed windows
overlooking the main street of the old city. It was originally built to enable
the ladies of the royal household to watch everyday life.
DAY 05 : JAIPURToday morning we visit the Amber
Fort in the Aravali Hills, which is a super example of Rajput (Medieval Hindu)
style architecture. A slow elephant ride takes us to the top of the Fort, which
houses several graceful buildings and temple.
Afternoon at leisure.
In the
evening, we visit Chokhi Dhani where an ethnic village atmosphere is recreated
each evening with thousands of oil lamps, folk dancers, arobats, snake charmers,
puppeteers etc.

DAY 06 : JAIPUR - BHARATPUR -
FATEHPURSIKRI - AGRAThis
morning travel to Bharatpur for a tour of the world famous bird sanctuary here.
The reserve bosts of river 300 species of resident and migratory birds. From
here we drive to the ancient city of Fatehpur Sikri ( ghost capital) for a tour
of the magnificent and world heritage buildings still in a state of perfect
preservation. We continue our journey for Agra and upon arrival check into
Hotel.
DAY 07 : AGRAAgra was the capital of India
under the Moghuls in the 16th and 17th centuries. This morning we see the
exquiste tomb of the emperor Jehangir's chief minister and father-in - law,
often called the 'BABY TAJ' because its design foreshadows the Taj Mahal,. Then
we tour Agra's Red Fort, built over three generations by the moghul emperors.
Following an afternoon free, we go at sunset to see the Taj Mahal, the mausoleum
built by a sorrowing Shah Jehan in memory of his young wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The
Building's stupendous scale, flawless symmetry, translucent white marble and
shimmering reflection in the water channel are truly breathtaking.

DAY 08 :
AGRA - JHANSI BY SHATABDI EXPRESS - ORCHHAMorning after breakfast
we are transferred to the railway station to board shatabdi express departure at
0820 arrival in Jhansi at 1030. Upon arrival in Jhansi we are met and
transferred to Orchha. Orchha a place that makes one feel the pulse of warm soul
of India with temples, magnificent palaces, splendid cenotaphs and river betwa
gurgling through zero pollution surrounding where TIME slumbers for good.

DAY 09 : ORCHHA - KHAJURAHOMorning
drive to Khajuraho. Upon arrival we are transferred to our prebooked
hotel.
Afternoon tour the spectaular ninth to thirteenth century temples of
Khajuraho, built by Chandela kings, The temples are exquisitely carved with
graceful statues and frieze gods and goddesses.

NOWDAY 10 :
KHAJURAHO - VARANASI BY
FLIGHTToday we take a short flight to the Varanasi. Upon
arrival we are met and transferred to our prebooked hotel . In the afternoon
proceed to the village of Sarnath on the outskirts of town. It was in this Deer
Park that the Lord Buddha gave his first sermon. Visit the Park and Museum..
Sarnath was made a centre of Buddhist worship by the emperor Ashoka in the 3rd
century BC. We will visit the Main Shrine and Ashoka's Pillar. In the
Archaeological Museum we will see the beautifully carved capital from the pillar
along with many other priceless Buddhist artifacts. The highlight of this tour
would be a participation in the evening Aarti ( prayer service) at the main
Buddhist temple here.

DAY 11 : VARANASI - KATHMANDU BY
FLIGHTAn early morning boat ride presents an incredible,
surrealistic scene as multitudes of devotees come to the river to pay homage to
the Sun God, Surya, Pass the bathing ghats where thousands of pilgrims purify
themselves in the holy water of the Ganges River, and the burning ghats where
cremations are conducted.. Later today, fly to Kathmandu, ancient capital of the
mountain kingdom of Nepal. Your tour includes exploration of the Durbar Square
with its abundance of lovely temples, bazaars and the Royal Palace. Enjoy a
magnificent view of Kathmandu from Swayambunath, also known as the monkey
temple. Continue to Bodhnath to see the largest Buddhist stupa in the world. At
Pashupatinath, view Nepal's most sacred Shiva shrine, located near the holy
river Bagmati.

DAY 12 :
KATHMANDUPatan is the oldest of the three cities of the ancient
Kathmandu Valley. Originally founded in the 03rd Century, this medieval " City
of Beauty" features hundreds of temples and palaces. The art and architecture
feature intriate carvings with an interesting mixture of Hindu and Buddhist
influence. Visit the Tibetan refugee camp - actually a mini village, for a rare
chance to observe the deft hands of these skilled artisans and craftsmen weaving
carpets and engaging in other anciet, distinctly Tibetan handicrafts, Later
enjoy a drive through the beautiful conntryside to the primitive city fo
Bhadgaon, also known as Bhaktapur - "City of Devotes.". The Durbar Square
includes interesting temples and palaces, the Big Bell - once rung to usher in
curfew, the Bell of the Barking Dogs, the Lion Gate, the Picture Gallery and the
famous Golden Gate - opening the way to the courtyard of the palace of 55
Windows, topped by the figure of Goddess Kali.
DAY 13 : KATHMANDU
- NAGARKOTAfter breakfast we drive to Nagarkot.The whole day is
spent at leisure enjoying the scenic beauty of the valley.

DAY 14 : NAGARKOT - KATHMANDU - DELHIThis
morning transfer to airport to flight for New Delhi. Arrival and transfer to our
hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. This evening we will travel into Old Delhi
, to witness the sound & light show at the Red Fort.
DAY 15 :
LEAVE DELHIDeparture transfer to the Indra Gandhi International
Airport Treminal II airport to board flight back Home.
