Arrival with
delhi we take a short city tour and next day we board train for Amritsar - city
of Golden Temple. The Golden Temple which is scared to the Sikh nation. Here we
will visit the Wagha border and the Jallian Walla Bagh. From Amritsar we proceed
to visit the seat of Dalai Lama - Dharmshala situated in the Kangra valley and
spread over a height of 450 metres. Next is a journey to Manali - situated in
the Kullu valley. Manali is synonymous with streams and bird songs, forest and
orchands and the grandeur of snowcapped himalayas. Next we start our journey to
Leh - Ladakh. The journey is one in a life time experience passing through the
Rohtang Pass at a height of 3980 mts and further we cross the Lachalang La Pass
at a height of 5065 mts and finally through the highest pass of the world the
tanglang la at a height of 5360 mts we arrive in Leh. The little Tibet as Ladakh
is popularly known as houses many important monasteries and gompas. From here we
drive to the dahanu valley and then to pangong lake and thereafter back to Leh
for flight to Delhi. (we should bear in mind that the flights to and from Leh
are all depending on the weather conditions).
DAY 01 : ARRIVE DELHIUpon arrival at Indra Gandhi International Airport Terminal 2 you are
met and transferred to your prebooked Hotel.
Upon arrival at the hotel you
are received with a traditional welcome of TIKKA and ARTI.
Afternoon - Half
day city tour of New Delhi, visiting such sights as Safdarjung's Tomb (1753) the
Qutub Minar 72 meters high and one of the most perfect towers in the Persian
world. This Iron Pillar has survived the vagaries of weather for over 1500 years
, Chattarpur Temple complex and then continue with a drive through the Embassy
area, Government Buildings (1921 - 1930) and Connaught Place, the heart and main
shopping district of the capital.

NOWDAY 02 : DELHI - AMRITSAR BY SHATABDI
EXPRESSEarly morning we are transferred to the New Delhi railway
Station to board our train for Amritsar - the city of Golden Temple. Upon
arrival we are met and transferred to our prebooked Hotel.
Afternoon we visit
the famous Golden temple which is scared to the Sikh nation, here we will find
time to tune into the amazing spiritual centre and feel the power that inspires
the Sikh people worldwide. We continue our city tour and visit the Jallian Walla
Bagh - Martyrs' Memorial built in the shape of eternal flame of liberty is
situated on the outskirts of Golden Temple.Here about 1500 and 2000 persons who
were attending a peaceful meeting during the freedom movement fell under the
bullets of the British General Dyer on 13 April 1919 and the city of
Amritsar.

DAY 03 :
AMRITSARAfter a relaxed breakfast we proceed to visit the Wagha
Border - the border between Pakistan and India. From here we continue the visit
to Tarn Taran a town situated 24 kms south was founded by Sri Guru Arjan Dev in
1590. The famous Gurudwara stands on the side of the large tank.From here we
visit the the town of Goindwal where Guru Amar Dass established a new centre for
preaching Sikhism A Baoli well paved with 84 steps was constructed here.The
devout believe that by reciting Japji Sahib the divine Word revealed to Guru
Nanak Dev Ji at each step after taking a bath in the Baoli provides Moksh -
liberation from the 84000 cycle of life of this world.
Evening we watch the
famous Punjabi Bangra Dance Performance.

DAY 04 : AMRITSAR - DHARMSHALAMorning after breakfast we depart for Dharmshala - a hill station full
of natural charm and beauty. Situated in the Kangra Valley and spread over a
height of 450 metres. It is surrounded by the majestic Dhauladhar Ranges on
three sides.Tibetan settlements at Mecleodganj and Tibetan Library are the
treasure hunts of manuscripts and text and its ancient culture.The Dalai Lama's
Palace is next to his monastery at Dharamshala. . Upon arrival check into our
prebooked hotel.
The day is spent walking around the Kangra Valley and mixing
and talking with the Tibetan Community.

DAY 05 : DHARMSHALAMorning we start our city
tour of Dharmshala and visit the Dalai Lama 's Monastery , Tibetian children
village and handicraft centre, Bhagsunag and water fall and the war
memorial.
Evening is spent relaxing.

DAY 06 : DHARMSHALA - MANALIToday
morning we depart for our new and exciting destination KULLU & MANALI .Upon
arrival we check into our prebooked hotel. Manali is a major resort in the Kullu
valley . According to the legend its name is derived from Manu and Alaya - the
abode of Manu. Manali is synonymous with streams and and birdsongs, forest and
orchards and the grandeur of the snowcapped Himalaya.

DAY 07 : MANALIToday we leave for city tour of Manali - visiting the Hadimba Devi
temple set within dense Pine forest and to the Naggar Castle to have the
stunning view of the valley.
Afternoon is spent walking around the Beas river
and the local market.

DAY 08 : MANALI -
DARCHAToday morning we start our drive towards Darcha covering a
distance of 147 kms and going to a height of 3400 meters. It will take us
approximately around 6 - 7 hours.During this drive we cross over the Rohtang -
La pass which is at a height of approx 3980 meters.

DAY 09 : DARCHA - PANGToday morning we start
are drive towards Pang and would be covering a distance of 163 kms and going to
a height of 4630 meters .Today it will take approx. 8 - 9 hours and we will be
crossing over the Baralacha - La pass which is at a height of 4892 meters and
the Lachalang La Pass which is at a height of 5065 meters. The journey is
through the most beautiful mountain scenery. Upon arrival at pang we overnight
in camps.
DAY 10 : PANG - LEHThe morning drive today will take us to Leh the capital of Ladakh. The
journey is for 172 kms and would take approx. 9 hours. Leh is situated at an
height of 3505 meters. Today we pass through the incredibly HIGH PASS of
Tanglang La which is the world's highest pass situated at an height of 5360
meters. Upon arrival in Leh we checkinto our prebooked hotel for an
overnight.

DAY 11 :
LEHMorning in Leh is kept free for the purpose of getting
acclimatize to the height and weather. Afternoon we do a sight-seeing tour to
Shankar Gompa , Shantistupa and Leh Palace.

12 : LEHAfter breakfast full day sight-seeing to Shey , old summer
palace of the Kings of Ladakh and was built about 560 year ago. It has a 12
meter high seated Buddha images. From here we proceed to Thiksey , the monastery
is very picturesque and superbly sited on a hilltop overlooking the village and
we now would proceed on to Hemis , one of the largest and the most important
Gompas in Ladakh, with its excellent library wall paintings and Buddha
figures.

DAY 13 : LEH - DAHANU
ValleyToday we drive to Dahanu valley , where Drok -pa
live.Buddhist in name but racially and culturally distinct from the rest of the
Ladakhis.Two the five villages inhabited by them may now be visited, DAH &
BEEMA.We will drive down the indus, between Khaltse and the Shyok - Indus
confluence to our camp at Beema.
DAY 14 : DAHANU
VALLEYToday visit to the Beema and Dah villages, meet here the
Drok-pa inhabitant a minuscule community of perhaps no more than a couple of
thousand, their features are purely Indo Aryan and they have preserved their
racial purity down the centuries.

DAY 15 : DAHANU VALLEY - LEHToday we drive
back to Leh enroute visiting the villages of Achinathang and Skurbachan and the
Basgo fort.

DAY 16 : LEH - PANGONG
LAKE Early breakfast today and we start are drive towards Pangong
lake. Today's drive will take us approx. 7 hours.The pangong lake is situated an
height of approx 14000 feets and we pass through some of the most picturesque
villages and over Chang - La (18000 feets).Today we camp near the
Lake.
DAY 17 : PANGONG LAKEToday we explore the 130
kms long lake which is bisected by the international border between India &
China.We will also visit the summer homes of a scanty population of Chang -Pa,
the nomadic herds of people of Tibet and South East Ladakh.

NOWDAY 18 : PANGONG LAKE -
LEHMorning we start our journey back for Leh.Upon arrival check
into our prebooked hotel.

DAY 19 : LEH - DELHI ( BY FLIGHT )Today we
are transferred well in time to the airport to board our flight for Delhi. ( We
should bear in mind that the flights to and from Leh are all depending on the
weather conditions and therefore there is a possibility that we might have to
stay extra day in Leh or until the flight does not take off . This is for
clients information. ) Once we are on board the aircraft we arrive in Delhi
where we are met and transferred to our prebooked hotel.
DAY 20 :
DELHIDay at leisure to relax. Overnight at the
Hotel.
DAY 21 : DELHIIn the morning cross the city
to the walled gates of the Old City to visit the Jamma Mosque (1650) and drive
through the fabled area of Chandni Chowk (Moonlight Square) where throngs of
shoppers and vendors meet. On to the Red Fort (1639-1648) build by Shah Jehan
the builder of the Taj Mahal in Agra.. The highlight of this afternoon's tour
would be a fascinating ride in 3 wheel cycle rickshaws through the narrow and
bustling inner lanes of Old Delhi.
Evening we go to watch the Dances of India
show and then for a farewell Dinner at the Haus Khas Village
Complex.

DAY 22 : LEAVE
DELHIAfter what will have been a majestic way to see and experience
royal India, we bid farewell as we are transferred to the airport for our flight
back home.
